Meet Sam- Creator + Artist
I started Ear Candy Co in 2023 the same way many crafty adventures begin — I probably saw something on social media and thought, “I can do that.” Unlike the many hobbies that come and go, this one stuck, and before long my house was filling up with polymer clay earrings.
When people kept telling me how much my creations made them smile, I finally allowed myself to believe them and realized these little pieces of clay could bring joy to others.
I moved to Asheville in 2016 to manage a hotel, and when it sold in 2026, it gave me the chance to fully commit to Ear Candy Co — something that makes me happier than I ever expected.
I don’t take life too seriously and love being a little quirky, happy, and weird, and that spirit shows up in the playful designs I create.
One of my absolute favorite moments is when someone picks out a pair and says, “I have to get these for my friend” or “They would love these,” just because. Those thoughtful, everyday gifts make my heart so happy.
Every pair is handmade in Asheville with the hope that a tiny piece of clay can brighten someone’s day and spark a smile.
And when you support Ear Candy Co, you’re supporting a small business, a creative dream, and a real human who truly appreciates every single order.
Meet the Team
I’m incredibly thankful for the amazing people who help bring Ear Candy Co to life. Running this business wouldn’t be possible without their energy, kindness, and willingness to jump into the colorful chaos with me.
Meet Alyssa
Hi! I’m Alyssa. You’ll usually see me at markets and occasionally at the kiosk. At my day job I work from home so I’ve really enjoyed getting to be out at the markets and being around so many wonderful people. I enjoy sharing Sam’s creations with others and passing along the compliments to her! When I’m at markets I like supporting other vendors and getting some goodies for myself and loved ones. In my free time I enjoy being outside, gardening, foraging, generally enjoying nature. I’ve been getting into fabric dying and sewing! I also love spending time with my partner, Mark, and my dog, Audrey. We love a quiet evening in with a good show or movie and some yummy food - likely pasta!
Meet Jocelyn
Hi, hello! My name is Jocelyn! I was born in Iowa and have also lived in Florida and Colorado but have spent most of my life here, in the Asheville area. I am a big lover of nature, animals, music, traveling, spirituality and the arts. I enjoy creating crochet items and jewelry, like malas, and trying out different artistic avenues. I love seeing the joy that art brings to people’s lives.
Meet Christina
I’m an artist at Studio 44 in Ashevilles River Art District. My work explores emotional depth, humanity, and the courage to feel fully in a complicated world.
Outside the studio and working for Ear Candy Co, I love being a mother of three, swimming, long walks, and life rooted in nature.
The possibilities are endless

Meet Harper
Everything is made by hand at my home in Asheville, NC during my “off” time. Each piece is slightly unique in it’s own way. And if you find a white dog hair, that’s my pup Harper telling you she helped with your piece. You can burn it off easily with a lighter :)
